National palliative care guideline development workshop

ENHANSE has continued to take a leading role in supporting the efforts of the federal ministry of health to institutionalize and scale up palliative care services for PLWHAs in Nigeria.

From January 30 to February 2, 2006, ENHANSE supported a stakeholders meeting to developing the national palliative care guidelines. This built on the national framework for palliative care which ENHANSE assisted the FMOH to develop in July, 2005. These efforts will ensure that the national, minimum package and operational standards are set for the implementation of comprehensive palliative care services for HIV and AIDS nationwide.
