nigeria-usaidit.org Website Mission

The mission of the USAID-IT website is to highlight the health programs funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and its nine implementing partners (IPs) in Nigeria. These programs aim to improve the general health of the Nigerian population and to support the development of health infrastructure within Nigeria through behavior change communication; institutional capacity building; community-outreach; quality improvement and demand creation for critical health services. Implementing partners work with local institutions to support initiatives in the following areas:

  • Child Health
  • Family Planning and Reproductive Health
  • HIV and AIDS

The USAID-IT website provides an overview of the many activities planned both in Nigeria and in the US for the purposes of accomplishing USAID’s health-related strategic objectives for Nigeria. The website is also designed to provide access to resources (media links, publications, program reports, audio, video, print materials) to individuals and groups interested in public health issues.
